Kolkatta, 18/1 (AO Bureau): There are still three to four months left for assembly elections in West Bengal. In the midst of the assembly elections, now the Chief Minister of the state Mamata Banerjee has announced to contest from Nandigram, the stronghold of Shubhendu Adhikari.
Shubhendu Adhikari was considered very close to Mamta Banerjee, but some time ago, Shubhendu Adhikari has joined hands with BJP, leaving Mamta Banerjee. Nandigram is the place from where Mamata Banerjee started her biggest movement and took over the chair of power. Mamta Banerjee has played a big stake in the assembly elections in West Bengal in a few months. Addressing a rally in Nandigram, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced that she will contest from Nandigram itself and also from her traditional seat Bhawanipur. At the rally, Mamta Banerjee attacked the BJP and said that she would not let Bengal be sold while she was alive.
