Gujrat, 30/1 (AO Bureau)The Gujarat government on Saturday extended the night curfew till February 15 to prevent the spread of coronavirus in four major cities of the state – Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot.
In this regard, a senior official said that the duration of the nighttime curfew, however, has been reduced from 10 pm to 6 am now from 11 am to 6 am. After Deepawali in November, the government imposed a night curfew in these four cities after the increase in cases of Kovid-19. It had announced that the nocturnal curfew would remain in force till 31 January, but at present, there has been a time reduction of just one hour.
Curfew from 11 AM to 6 AM
Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Pankaj Kumar said, “Gujarat will strictly follow the Kovid-19 guidelines issued by the Union Home Ministry on January 27 from the beginning of February to the 28th.” He said, “Nocturnal curfew will be effective in the four metros of the state – Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot. But now it will be from 11 pm to 6 am till 15 February. “
