For West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Assam, the Finance Minister announced the gargantuan amount of money. Elected states announced a total of 2.27 lakh crore for road infrastructure in big states. The special thing in this announcement is that Tamil Nadu has been taken care of more than Bengal.
The Finance Minister said, “There will be a national highway project for Kolkata-Siliguri in West Bengal. 25,000 crore will be spent on the highway in Bengal. 675 km of highway will be constructed in Bengal.
Along with this, the finance minister also made big announcements for Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Assam. She said, “Tamil Nadu will cost 1.03 lakh crore rupees under the 3500 km National Highways Project. Its construction will start next year. 1100 km National Highway will be constructed in Kerala. Under this, the Mumbai-Kanyakumari Corridor will also be built. 65 thousand crore rupees will be spent on this in Kerala. 34 thousand crore rupees will be spent on National Highways in Assam.
