Odisha CM Naveen held talks with people of Pipili and Delang

Bhubaneswar, 23/2 (AO Bureau): This year marks the 100th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’s arrival in Odisha. Gandhi first visited Odisha on March 23, 1921. He came to Berboi in Delang in 1936 and took part in an exhibition on agriculture and village industry. Gandhi’s ideas have always been important to us, especially now.
Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik said this during a video conference with the people of the Pipili-Delang area today. On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the state government has decided to develop a model school in Berboi and a memorial to Gandhiji.
Today, the Chief Minister announced various projects worth Rs 4 crore for the development of the Pipili-Delang constituency. It will cover a wide range of development projects, from roads to irrigation, stadiums, bridges, and bus stands.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that he has always focused on the development of the village. Women and farmers have been focusing on the welfare of their brothers. “It’s the smile on the face of the poor that gives him the most satisfaction,” he said.
Praising Mission Shakti and the farmers’ program during the Corona Lockdown, the Chief Minister said that the mothers of our Mission Shakti have done a great job during this time. Our farming brothers also continued to farm without fear of corona during the lockdown. “The country’s economy is alive today because of the hard work of the peasantry,” he said.
“Unfortunately, your dear MLA Pradeep Babu is not among us today,” he said, recalling the late Pradeep Maharathi, a former minister and former MLA of the Pipili-Delang constituency. He has been associated with the development of Pipili-Delang for more than 30 years. He was with you in all your good and bad things. He has worked all his life to develop Pipili-Delang. On this occasion, he paid deep homage to the memory of Pradeep Maharathi.
The Chief Minister said that everyone has the right to development. The poor in particular have the first right to development. He asserted that his confession had been obtained through torture and that his confession had been obtained through torture.
Attending the function from the Lok Seba Bhavan, the Deputy Chairman of the Planning Board, Mr. Sanjay Dasbarma, lauded the steps taken by the Chief Minister to provide safe drinking water throughout Puri district.
Meetings were held at two locations in Pipili and Delang. Inaugurating the meeting in Pipili, Minister for Schools and Mass Education Shri Sameer Das thanked the Chief Minister for the steps taken by the Chief Minister for the development of the entire Puri district, including Pipili.
Speaking at a rally in Delang, Sports and Youth Services Minister Shri Tusharkanti Behera said that a new era has begun in the development of the Puri district. The development of the shrine will attract even more tourists to the Puri district, he said.
In Pipili, 161 people were provided with ration cards, 3,056 were given allowances and assistance to the differently-abled. In Delang, 320 people were given ration cards, 1,230 were given allowances and 20 people with disabilities were given tricycles. Promodini Majhi, a beneficiary from Pipili Badkanti village, and Pramod Bhoi, a Delang, thanked the chief minister on behalf of the beneficiaries.
The five secretaries of the Chief Minister, Shri VK Pandian, conducted the program. The Puri district commissioner delivered the welcome address. Among others, Puri MP Shri Pinaki Mishra, MLA Shri Pranab Prakash Das, Shri Pratap Keshari Deb, Shri Umakanta Samantaraya, Chief Secretary Shri Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, and senior officials were present on the occasion.
