Our relation with China will develop along the path we like to develop : MM Narvane

New Delhi, 24/2 (AO Bureau): Army Chief General MM Narwane on Wednesday said that India’s relationship with China will be as we would like. He said, “I think it is entirely the government’s thinking that our relationship with China will develop in the same way as our desire to develop it.” The Army Chief said that as a government, as a nation we have shown that our national interest is paramount in whatever solutions have been done. General Narwane further said that as a neighbor we would like peace and stability on the border and nobody wants any kind of instability on the border. According to PTI, on the matter of ending tension with China in Pangong Tso, General MM Narwane said that this is a very good result and a win-win situation for both countries.

Let me tell you that in mid-February, the tension between India and China on LAC near Pangong Tso in eastern Ladakh was reduced for about nine months. According to reports, China had removed more than 200 tanks within just two days of the agreement between the two countries. The focus of both countries is now on ending tension in other areas along the border. In the Rajya Sabha on the issue of tension with China, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh had said that the Chinese army has agreed to retreat from Finger Eight. The initial disbandment of Indian and Chinese troops is confined to Pangong Lake and it may take two weeks for both armies to return to their original deployment.
