New Delhi, 28/2 (Ao Bureau):If everything goes according to plan, India’s rocket will depart from Sriharikota Space Center on Sunday with the satellite of Brazil for the first time. This is the first launch of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in 2021. The time to launch this rocket from Sriharikota’s Satish Dhawan Space Center (SDSC) SHAR is 10:24 am on February 28, depending on the weather conditions. The countdown for PSLV-C51 / Amazonia-1 mission started at 8.45 am on Saturday morning.
ISRO said in a statement that PSLV-C51 is the 53rd mission of PSLV. With this rocket, 18 other satellites will also be sent into space along with Brazil’s Amazonia-1 satellite. The rocket will be launched from Sriharikota, about 100 km from Chennai.
These satellites include Satish Dhawan SAT (SD SAT) of Chennai’s Space Kidz India (SKI). The top panel of this spacecraft has a picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi engraved on it. SKI said, “This is to express solidarity and gratitude for their (Prime Minister’s) self-reliant initiative and space privatization.” SKI is also sending ‘Bhagavad Gita’ to SD (secure digital) card.
