Air India to be privatized ? Know the details

New Delhi, 27/3 (AO Bureau): The government’s stance on the state airline Air India is now clear. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said on Saturday that now Air India will be completely disinvested or will be closed. Hardeep Singh Puri said that financial bids will be called for the disinvestment of Air India soon. Puri said that now the government has only two options – either to privatize Air India or to close it. The government will sell its entire 100 percent stake in Air India. The Union Minister said in his statement that we have decided that there will be 100% disinvestment of Air India. There is no choice between disinvestment and non-disinvestment. However, Air India is now making money, but now we are incurring a loss of 20 crores per day.
