Huge Setback for Delhi Capitals ahead of IPL

New Delhi, 30/3 (AO Bureau): There are just a few days left for the Indian Premier League’s 14th season (IPL 2021) to begin. The IPL 2021 is starting from April 9 and before this tournament, the three big teams have suffered a big setback. Five-time champions Mumbai Indians, three-time champions Chennai Super Kings, and Delhi Capitals, who reached the IPL final last year, will go into the first match without their key players. There is more bad news for Delhi Capitals as their two players will not be able to play in the first match.

Actually, Kagiso Rabada, Enrique Norkhia, Lungi Ngidi Quinton De Cock, and David Miller have been ruled out of the first match of IPL 2021. These four players are part of the South African team in the ODI series against Pakistan. Due to this series, these players will arrive in India lately and after that, they will join the team only after being in quarantine for a week. The three-match ODI series between Pakistan and South Africa starts on April 2. The last match of the ODI series is on 7 April.

Teams will send chartered aircraft for South African players?
By the way, let us tell you that there is no provision of quarantine in IPL from bubble to bubble. But for this, teams will have to arrange a chartered plane to pick up their players. If this is not done then the players will not be able to play at least 2 IPL matches. By the way, Chennai Super Kings have made it clear that their fast bowler Lungi Angidi will not be available for the first match. This means that Chennai will not send chartered aircraft for them. Ngidi will join the team only after completing the 7-day quarantine. In this, the Delhi Capitals will suffer the biggest loss as their two most successful bowlers last season were Kagiso Rabada and Nortze. If both these players are unable to play two or two matches, then the team can suffer big loss.
