In this seat, there is a contest between CM Mamata Banerjee and BJP veteran Suvendu Adhikari. But just a day before voting, Mamata Banerjee has written to all the big opposition leaders of the country, calling for a unification against the BJP.
Mamta Banerjee has written this letter to Sonia Gandhi, Sharad Pawar, Tejashwi Yadav, Uddhav Thackeray, Arvind Kejriwal, Naveen Patnaik, and MK Stalin. He said in the letter, ‘I firmly believe that the time has come when one should be united against the attacks on the democracy and constitution of the BJP.’ It is worth mentioning that Nandigram is called the stronghold of Shubhendu Adhikari and Mamta Banerjee has reached Nandigram to contest the same Narrative.
