Ishant Sharma ahead of Clash against Mumbai

New Delhi, 20/4 (AO Bureau): Good news has come for the Delhi Capitals ahead of the match against Mumbai Indians this evening. The team’s fast bowler Ishant Sharma has fully recovered from injury and is fully fit to play the remaining matches of IPL 2021. A source associated with Delhi Capitals told news agency ANI that Ishant was suffering from a heel injury. But now he is ready to get on the field. However, the tournament is long and Ishant is an important part of Delhi’s bowling attack. In this case, the team will be careful about them.

Ishant could not play the team’s first two matches against Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals due to injury. He was replaced by fast bowler Avesh Khan in the playing-11. The opening of IPL 2021 has been good for Delhi. The team has won two of its first three matches. However, fast-bowling is definitely increasing the team’s problems. Because Kagiso Rabada and left-arm pacer Lukman Meriwala proved costly in the last match against Punjab Kings (PBKS).

Rabada took one wicket for 43 runs in 4 overs against Punjab, while Meriwala gave 32 runs in 3 overs. Rabada was the highest wicket-taker in the previous season. He took 30 wickets in 17 matches. But this time Rabada has taken three wickets in 2 matches.

Avesh took the most wickets for Delhi
For Delhi, Avesh Khan is the only fast bowler who seems to be in rhythm. He has impressed everyone with his bowling in all three matches this season. He is third in the list of highest wicket-taking bowlers in this season after RCB’s Harshal Patel and Mumbai Indians’ Rahul Chahar. He has taken 6 wickets in 3 matches. In such a situation, if Ishant’s team returns in the match against Mumbai, then it will strengthen Delhi’s bowling.
