New Delhi, 29/4 (AO Bureau):PM Narendra Modi (Narendra Modi) will hold a cabinet meeting tomorrow to review the deteriorating situation amid the second wave of Corona in the country. The meeting will be held at 11 am on Friday. For the past few days, PM Narendra Modi has been making decisions to handle the situation of Corona by holding a high-level meeting continuously. Many big decisions have been taken in one such meeting on Wednesday.
In Wednesday’s meeting, a big decision was taken regarding the oxygen plant. Amid the second wave of Corona, many states of the country are struggling with an oxygen crisis. The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has said that it will set up 500 medical oxygen plants. For this money has been given from PM Cares Fund. The Medical Oxygen Plant (MOP) technology developed by DRDO for on-board oxygen generation at LCA, Tejas, will now help fight the current oxygen crisis for Kovid-19 patients.
This oxygen plant is built for a capacity of 1,000 liters per minute (LPM). This system can meet the need of 190 patients at a flow rate of five LPM and can charge 195 cylinders per day. Technology has been transferred to M / s Tata Advanced Systems Limited, Bengaluru and M / s Trident Pneumatics Pvt Ltd, Coimbatore, both will produce 380 plants for installation in various hospitals in the country. Industries working with CSIR-related Indian Petroleum Institute, Dehradun will produce 120 plants of 500 LPM capacity.
Purchase of portable oxygen concentrator approved
Apart from this, the government has approved the purchase of one lakh portable oxygen concentrators from PM Cares Fund. The Prime Minister has given clear instructions that by completing the procurement process soon, the most affected states should be provided oxygen concentrators.
