After poll violence in West Bengal

Kolkata,4/5(Ao Bureau):The phase of violence continues in West Bengal (West Bengal Assembly election 2021) after the results of the assembly elections. On Monday, the Bharatiya Janata Party accused the Trinamool Congress of attacking its workers. The party claimed that more than 5 of its workers died in the violence. After the BJP, now the Left parties have made a similar claim.

In a tweet, Sitaram Yechury wrote: ‘Is the report of violence in Bengal a celebration of their victory? It is condemnable. It should be opposed. Instead of combating the corona infection, TMC is involved in these activities. CPIM is always present to help people.

Significantly, a day after the results of the assembly elections in the state, there was widespread violence on Monday in which several BJP workers were killed and many were injured when they allegedly clashed and looted the shops. The Union Home Ministry has sought a factual report from the state government in the incident of the attack on opposition activists.
