New Delhi, 5/5(AO Bureau):Rain Alert is expected in Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and West Bengal. According to the warning from the Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of thunderstorms along with torrential rains in these states. The Meteorological Department has also predicted the possibility of pre-monsoon rains to increase in South India as well.
The Meteorological Department has estimated that winds in the capital Delhi can be moving at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour on Wednesday, while thunderstorms can also be seen at night. There is a possibility of drizzle with dusty winds on Thursday.
At the same time, the weather of UP-Bihar has been very pleasant for the last few days. The Meteorological Center has issued an alert predicting heavy rains, thunderstorms and hail in many parts of Bihar. Due to the formation of a trough line from Uttar Pradesh to Assam, the state also received rains with thunderstorms on Tuesday. Such a situation is likely to persist till May 8.
