BJP MP Tejasvi alleges corruption in Covid-19 bed allocation

Bangalore, 6/5 (Ao Bureau): The Karnataka government has become active after a complaint by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Tejasvi Surya. State Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa (BS Yediyurappa) has ordered an inquiry into the case. Surya had accused the Bangalore Municipal Corporation of corruption for allocation of beds for Covid patients. Two other BJP MLAs are also among the questions raised. In addition to this, he has also questioned the appointment of 17 Muslim personnel in the War Room of the Bengaluru Bruhat Mahanagara Palika (BBMP).

Since the complaint of corruption made by Surya, politics has been hot in the state. Joint Commissioner (Crime) Sandeep Patil says that two complaints have been lodged in the police and 4 people including a woman have been arrested so far. The heat of the case surfaced on Tuesday has also reached BBMP Commissioner Sarfaraz Nawaz.

However, he has denied involvement in the case. He said that he was not involved in the allocation and was overseeing the Kovid Care Center and waste management. Nawaz said, ‘I am sad because it was communally twisted by accusing me.’ He claimed to have no connection with the department. At the same time, on Wednesday, Surya made it clear that he did not take the name of Nawaz and apologized to the officer.
