New Delhi, 9/5 (AO bureau):Arvind Kejriwal government of Delhi, the capital of the country, has extended the lockdown in Delhi by another week. It will remain in force till 5 am on 17 May. This time Delhi Metra will also be closed during lockdown. CM Arvind Kejriwal said that the lockdown in Delhi is being extended for one week, which will remain in force till 5 am next Monday. The Metro will be closed from tomorrow in Delhi.
Apart from this, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that Corona cases started decreasing in Delhi since April 26 and the positivity rate has come down from 35 percent to 23 percent in the last one or two days. It is a relief for Delhiites. At the same time, after the opinion of the people of Delhi and all the organizations, we have extended the lockdown. This time the lockdown will be stronger than before. CM further said that Delhi Metro service will also be closed in this lockdown extended till 5 am on May 17. CM Kejriwal said that during the period of lockdown, we have done the work of increasing the oxygen beds at various places along with promoting the medical infrastructure. While the oxygen situation in Delhi has improved and now we are not getting SOS calls from hospitals.
Reduced speed of Corona in Delhi
The last several days have been filled with relief for the Delhi government and during this time there has been a decrease in the corona cases. According to the latest data released by the government, there have been 17,364 new Corona positive cases in Delhi in the past. With this, 332 people have been killed due to infection. During this time, 20,160 people have succeeded in defeating Corona. After the arrival of new cases, now active cases have increased to 87,907 in Rajdhani. So far, 13,10,231 cases of total Covid-19 have been reported. 12,03,253 patients have beaten the corona. So far 19,071 people have died due to infection.
Corona vaccination fast
Corona vaccine can now be installed in 300 schools in the capital. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that every day 1 lakh people are being vaccinated in Delhi, which needs to be increased rapidly. He said that till now 40 lakh people have been vaccinated. The Chief Minister said that the population of Delhi is about 2 crores. Roughly 1 crore people are between 18 and 45 years old, 50 lakh people are below 18 and the same number are above 50 years.
