New Delhi, 16/5 (AO Bureau):During the vaccination against the corona virus, now you will get an appointment for the covishield vaccine after 12 weeks. The Center said on Sunday that the online appointment for the second dose of Covishield will be given only after 84 days. Along with this, the government said that people who have already booked their appointment for the second dose of Covishield, will not have any effect on it. However, those people who want to change the appointment in advance and do it after 84 days, they can do so.
Changes are also being made to the CoWIN Digital Portal in view of the extended time between the two doses of the Covishield vaccine. The Center said, “Necessary changes are being made in the Co-Win Digital Portal to show the difference of 12 to 16 weeks between the two doses of Covishield. A pre-booked online appointment for the second dose of Covishield will be valid and will not be canceled by Kovin. This is the second time in the last few months that the time interval between two doses of the Covishield vaccine has been increased. In March, the Union Health Ministry had asked the states and union territories to increase the time interval between two doses from 28 days to 6 to 8 weeks.
