Black fungus causing havoc in India..Over 126 peole died

Mumbai, 21/5(Ao Bureau): Amidst Covid-19 pandemic, So far 126 people have died across the country due to mucormycosis. Apart from this, about 5500 people have been caught by this fungal infection so far. Maharashtra remains at the top in terms of deaths. So far, five states have declared the infection an epidemic. The situation has become so bad that many states are facing the deficiency of liposomal amphotericin B used in the treatment of this disease.

According to the Times of India report, around 5500 people across the country are struggling with black fungus. Of these 126 people have also died. In Maharashtra alone, 90 people have lost their lives due to this fungal infection. Apart from this, this figure is 14 in Haryana and 8 in Uttar Pradesh. All 8 patients died in the capital Lucknow.
