Ravi Shankar Prasad apologized to Shashi Tharoor

New Delhi, 31/5 (AO Bureau):Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has withdrawn the case of criminal defamation filed on Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad (Ravi Shankar Prasad). Actually Ravi Shankar Prasad had apologized for his statement after which Tharoor has withdrawn the case. Tharoor had applied to withdraw the case citing out-court settlement.

In March last year, Ravi Shankar Prasad wrote a letter and apologized to Shashi Tharoor. Shashi Tharoor had filed this case against Ravi Shankar Prasad in the year 2018. Then Ravi Shankar Prasad had alleged that Tharoor was an accused in a murder case.

Was asked to ‘apologise unconditionally’ for being ‘accused of murder’

Tharoor had earlier asked Ravi Shankar Prasad to ‘apologize unconditionally’ for calling him an ‘accused of murder’. Tharoor had said that the investigation in the Pushkar case has been completed and the Delhi Police also filed a final report before the Additional Metropolitan Magistrate court, in which charge sheets were filed against him under sections 308 and 498A of the Indian Penal Code. . Then when Ravi Shankar Prasad apologized in March 2020, Tharoor wrote in response to this letter, ‘You have shown great generosity in my honor by withdrawing your words, I was very shocked by those words. I appreciate your feelings and in view of our company, I consider this matter to be complete. ‘
