New Delhi, 3/6 (AO Bureau):Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Mukul Roy at 10.30 am today and inquired about his wife’s well being. The two talked for some time. The two-minute-long interaction between Modi and Roy has sparked speculation in political circles after TMC leader and MP Abhishek Banerjee’s sudden visit to the hospital on Wednesday evening.
BJP sources say that Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Roy at 10.30 am and inquired about his wife’s well being. He also assured all kind of help to the National Vice President of BJP. Mukul Roy said that it was a courtesy talk, but after this speculation has started in the state politics.
Mukul Roy himself had also become corona infected
Mukul Roy himself had recently become corona infected and returned from the hospital after the report turned negative. On May 10, Krishna Roy, wife of Mukul Roy, also suffered from Kovid. After this his report came negative but he was not released from the hospital due to lung disorder. TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee also went to Apollo Hospital to see the wife of BJP National Vice President Mukul Roy where she is admitted. Abhishek Banerjee met Mukul Roy’s son Shubhranshu Roy at the hospital and wished his mother a speedy recovery. Both Mukul Roy and his son were in TMC before joining BJP. According to sources, Shubhranshu told a close aide that he was “glad” that Abhishek Banerjee came to the hospital to visit his ailing mother.
