Former Indian all-rounder slams Indian bowlers

New Delhi,25/6:Roger Binny, the highest wicket-taker in the 1983 World Cup (1983 ODI World Cup), is upset with India’s performance in the World Test Championship final. He described the Indian bowling in the first innings against New Zealand as poor and shameful. He said that the Indian bowlers failed to take wickets on the third day of the Test and New Zealand scored 101 runs at the loss of two wickets at stumps.

Binny told News18 that it was disappointing to see the Indians bowling on Sunday (the third day of the Test). This was not the right way to bowl in a Test match in England. It was really shameful and humiliating. You see how the opposing team took advantage of your mistake. What kind of performance was this? You were playing a test match. That too the final of the World Test Championship. How can this kind of bowling be tolerated in that?

India bowled defensively in WTC Final: Binny

This former all-rounder lashed out at the Indian bowlers and said that when you bowl, your effort should be to feed as many balls as possible to the batsmen. We can’t bowl in our zone. The shorter the ball you bowled, the more likely there was to be a seam. New Zealand made full use of it. You have to bowl aggressively, not defensively to take wickets. Its lack was clearly visible in the Indian bowlers.

‘New Zealand tail batsmen outweigh India’

He said that India definitely bowled well on the fourth day. Mohammed Shami managed to take 4 and Ishant Sharma took three wickets. For this reason, New Zealand could only take a 32 run lead over India in the first innings. However, this lead could also have been reduced if the Indian bowlers had dismissed New Zealand’s tail batsmen early. But this did not happen and the last five batsmen of New Zealand added 71 runs and this was the end of India.
