Union Minister Thawar Chand Gehlot was appointed as the new Governor of Karnataka

Bangalore, 6/7 (AO Bureau):Union Minister Thawar Chand Gehlot was appointed as the new Governor of Karnataka on Tuesday. This information has been given in a release issued from Rashtrapati Bhavan. According to a release quoting the President’s Press Secretary, governors have been appointed or reshuffled in eight states. It said that President Ram Nath Kovind has appointed Gujarat BJP leader Mangubhai Chhaganbhai Patel as the Governor of Madhya Pradesh and Goa BJP leader and former Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh.

Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Thaawarchand Gehlot has been appointed as the Governor of Karnataka. The President has appointed Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, BJP leader from Andhra Pradesh as the Governor of Mizoram. The release said that the Governor of Mizoram, PS Pillai, has been transferred and appointed as the Governor of Goa. At the same time, Haryana Governor Satyadev Narayan Arya has been appointed as the Governor of Tripura. Tripura Governor Ramesh Bais has been transferred and appointed as the Governor of Jharkhand.
