PM Modi holds a high-level meeting to increase oxygen demand

New Delhi,9/7: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is holding a meeting on Friday to increase the supply of oxygen across the country. The PM is chairing a high-level meeting at 11.30 am to increase the supply of oxygen and review the availability across the country. Significantly, during the second wave of Kovid, there was a severe shortage of oxygen. During the second wave of Kovid-19, there was a sudden increase in the demand for oxygen in the month of April-May this year. In view of this, cases of shortage of life-saving oxygen were also reported in many states of the country. Since then, continuous efforts are being made by the government to increase the production of oxygen and ensure its uninterrupted supply.

 

In view of the possibility of a third wave of infection, the Prime Minister is holding frequent meetings and is also taking steps to ensure that there is no shortage of oxygen in the future. Let us tell you that to deal with the challenges of the third wave of the epidemic, the Union Cabinet on Thursday approved a package of more than 23 thousand crore rupees. The Government of India made efforts to speed up the supply and availability. At present, oxygen plants are being set up in many districts of the country.
