Kerala, 3/8 :Kerala is once again seeing a steady increase in the cases of Kovid-19. About 50 percent of the daily cases in the country are being registered in Kerala. In such a situation, epidemiologists and experts believe that this may be the knock of the third wave in Kerala. However, no such announcement has been made by the government so far. Experts say that in Kerala, where 12,000-14,000 cases were coming daily in June-July after the second wave cases decreased, its number has increased from 20,000 to 22,000 in the last days. While the positivity rate in the state has increased to 12 percent.
According to a report in the Times of India, epidemiologist Dr. Raman Kutty said that the rapid increase in cases shows that the third wave has started in Kerala and we have to be cautious about it. There is a large number of people who can get infected here and the government should come up with a long-term strategy to deal with the new waves of Covid. Let us tell you that the increase in cases in a week in Kerala is about 0.60 percent, while it is 0.13 percent at the national level.
There will also be many waves of corona
Former epidemiologist of Kerala government Dr. A Sukumaran said that there are many waves of any such viral infection, there will be many such waves in Kerala where cases will start increasing even before they subside. He said that even during the Spanish flu, the cases had come down after four waves. He said that but due to different variants of Covid, its waves can be more.
