Khalikote,5/8 :There has been an attack on the house of Khalikote MLA Suryamani Vaidya’s residence.Two were seriously injured and taken to Khallikote Medical College and Hospital. The bomber struck shortly after noon. The two critically injured were shifted to Berhampur Medical College and Hospital.They also broke the window glass panels by pelting stones
No such loss of life was reported as the legislator was absent from the house. In the past, legislator in her villages have faced similar protests.
The exact reason behind the attack is still unclear, it is suspected that the incident could have been the fall out of some past enmity.
