Sundargarh , 7/8:On the instruction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, (5T Secretary ) Shri V.K. Pandian, Mrs. Shalini Pandit, Director, National Health Mission, and Mr. R.K. Vilin Krishna visited Sundargarh district today to review various development works.
The secretary-level delegation toured the 33/11 KV power grid substation at Kundukela, the Vedabahal Coal Corridor, the Anganwadi Center at Bhavanipur and the Anganwadi Center and Kingirima Government High School in Bhawanipur. He also reviewed the progress of education, women and child development, nutrition, livelihood, connectivity, drinking water, agriculture and irrigation.
He visited the NTPC Covid Health Center in Sundergarh to discuss the preparation of health infrastructure to deal with the possible third wave of the Covid epidemic, and especially the ICU for the treatment of children. The meeting also discussed sports infrastructure in the district.
It has been decided that the transformation of 50 government high schools in the district will be completed by October under the state government’s five programs. The secretariat is one of 50 high schools
Kinirima toured Government High School. They spoke in a virtual classroom to virtual teachers and students in another room. They toured the school’s science labs, playgrounds and other infrastructure and expressed satisfaction with the progress of the high school transformation work.
They also visited the modern Anganwadi Center built at Bala Model in Bhawanipur, Sundargarh headquarters. Anganwadi centers have been set up in a completely new framework in the Bala model to make the education of young children enjoyable. The whole environment, starting with its furniture and walls, has been made attractive to children’s education. The new Anganwadi Centers, along with all the Anganwadi Centers in Sundargarh district, are being built on this model.
The function was attended by the District Magistrate of Sundargarh, the District SDP and the Project Director of the District Rural Development Agency.
