Punjab CM requests EAM Minister to help the sikhs trapped in Gurudwara

Chandigarh, 16/8: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday urged External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to help those trapped in a gurdwara in Afghanistan after the Taliban take over. Arrangements should be made to evacuate all Indians including 200 Sikhs immediately. In a tweet tagging the Ministry of External Affairs, Captain Amarinder Singh said: “My government stands ready to extend any help to ensure their safe evacuation.”

 

 

 

Emphasizing on extra vigil on all borders of the country, he said that Taliban occupation of Afghanistan is not good for India. The Taliban’s occupation of Afghanistan will strengthen the Sino-Pak alliance against India. On Independence Day on the previous day too, while talking about being fully vigilant against Pakistan, the Captain had said that Pakistan is always on the lookout to create problems. “We want peace but will not tolerate any aggressive action or attack on our territory,” he had said.
