Kabul, 17/8: Afghanistan’s Vice President Amrullah Saleh has declared himself the Patron President. Saleh has tweeted that he is gathering support for himself. Saleh tweeted and wrote- “Clarification: According to the Constitution of Afghanistan, the Vice President becomes Acting President in the absence of the President, fleeing the country, resignation or death. I am currently in my country and I am legally the Caretaker President. I am approaching all the leaders for their support and consensus.”
