New Delhi, 20/8: Amidst the fear of a third wave of corona virus infection in India, the way for another vaccine for children may be opened. Pharma company Johnson & Johnson has sought permission to conduct vaccine trials in India between the ages of 12-17. The news of Johnson seeking permission came at a time when Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that the results of ongoing research on the Kovid-19 vaccine being developed for children could come next month. He had said that this vaccine could be available ‘very soon’. AIIMS Director Dr. Randeep Guleria had said that the data for Phase II and III trials of Bharat Biotech’s covaccine between the age group of two to 18 years can come by September.
