Zydus Cadila to produce 1crore vaccines by october

New Delhi: A three-dose vaccine of Zydus Cadila was approved for emergency use by the DGCI on Friday. With this approval, now the total number of anti-corona vaccines (Covid-19 Vaccine) with India has increased to six. Now it has been said by the pharma company on Saturday that it will produce 1 crore doses per month by October.

 

 

 

The company said that in the month of December-January there is a plan to increase the production capacity of the vaccine to three to five crore per month. Earlier, the Government of India had placed a demand of five crore doses from the pharma company in August, but now it has been clearly said from Zydus that this is not possible yet. She will be able to prepare 1 crore doses per month by October.

 

Decision will be taken soon on the price of vaccine

On how much the new vaccine of Zydus will cost, the company said that it is currently under consideration but the price will be decided in a few days. Let us inform that before Zydus Cadila’s vaccine, India had a total of five vaccines including Serum Institute’s Covishield, Bharat Biotech’s Covaccine, Russia’s Sputnik V, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine.
