Jantar Mantar case: Delhi HC rejects bail plea of Pinky Chaudhary

New Delhi, 23/8:Delhi Court today showed strictness in the case of objectionable sloganeering and use of abusive language against a particular community at Jantar Mantar. In fact, in the anticipatory bail case of Pinky Chaudhary, the court said that we do not live in a Talibani state, the law is also something and we live in a law-abiding country. Along with this, the court has rejected the anticipatory bail application of Pinky Chaudhary.

 

Earlier, Delhi Police had arrested Sushil Tiwari, the head of an organization called Hindu Sena in the case. Police had told that 40-year-old Sushil Tiwari lives in Lucknow and was arrested from his house in Lucknow itself. Apart from the slogans, Tiwari allegedly mobilized people for the programme.
Before Tiwari, Delhi Police had arrested 6 people including Ashwini Upadhyay, the organizer of the event at Jantar Mantar. Six people, including senior Supreme Court lawyer Ashwini Upadhyay, are being interrogated continuously in this case.
