This female judge can become the first Woman Chief Justice Of Inda

New Delhi, 26/8: All the 9 names proposed by the Supreme Court Collegium have been approved by President Ram Nath Kovind. Now the file has been forwarded to complete the formalities. All these judges can take oath next week. One name in this list is also of Justice BV Nagarathna. With taking oath, Justice BV Natharatna will create history by stepping towards becoming the first woman Chief Justice of the country. According to seniority, Nagarathna will become the Chief Justice of India in the year 2027.

 

Out of the 9 names in the list, 8 are High Court judges and one is a senior Supreme Court lawyer. Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court, A.K. Oka, Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court Vikram Nath, Justice J.K. of Sikkim High Court. Maheshwari, Chief Justice of Telangana High Court Hima Kohli, Justice B.V. Nagarathna, Justice C.T. of Kerala High Court. Ravikumar, Madras High Court Justice M.M. Sundaresh, Justice Bela of Gujarat High Court. The names of M. Trivedi and Senior Attorney PS Narasimha are included.
