Huge setback for BJP in West Bengal

Kolkata,31/8: Trouble is increasing for the BJP in West Bengal as the exodus of their leaders from the party is not taking the name of stopping. On Tuesday too, BJP MLA Vishwajit Das joined the ruling party Trinamool Congress (TMC). BJP counselor Manotosh Nath was also among those who joined TMC with Das. This is the second setback for the BJP in about 24 hours.

Just a day before this, on Monday, BJP MLA from Vishnupur Tanmay Ghosh also joined TMC saying goodbye to the party. With the joining of these two MLAs, the total number of BJP MLAs in the state has come down to 72.

BJP MLA from Bagda, Vishwajit Das, who joined TMC, said, ‘I had changed the party due to misunderstanding. Now trust in the leadership of TMC. Mamata Banerjee is doing development work and I want to be with her.” Das allegedly accused the BJP of not allowing their leaders to work.
