PM Modi to raise terrorism issue in SCO meet

New Delhi, 6/9: Prime Minister Narendra Modi can raise the issue of terrorism in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting. The special thing is that the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan will also be present in this meeting. This meeting will be held in Dushanbe, capital of Tajikistan from 16-17 September. It is being said that PM Modi will attend this meeting in a virtual way. During the last two months, several meetings of foreign, defense and national security advisors of the SCO have been held here.

According to the English newspaper Times of India, the matter will be kept in view of India’s statements on Afghanistan in the UNSC and the United Nations Human Rights Council. However, it is being said that it is very unlikely that PM Modi will name the Taliban in his statement. India has expressed concern in recent days about the relationship between the Taliban and Pakistan.

More will be involved in the meeting? It is expected that Chinese President Xi Jinping will also be present virtually in this meeting. Apart from this, Pakistani PM Imran Khan, Russian President Putin and leaders of other Central Asian countries will be personally present in this meeting.
