Rahul Gandhi supports Farmer protest

New Delhi, 6/9: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi (Rahul Gamdhi) on Monday supported the agitating farmers after the ‘Mahapanchayat’ of farmers in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar, saying that the ‘destiny creator of India’ is steadfast and fearless. Sharing a picture of a crowd gathered at the farmers’ ‘Mahapanchayat’, he tweeted, ‘Datta hai, fearless, here hai Bharat Bhagya Vidhata!’

Referring to a news related to this, Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala claimed, ‘This is the truth of the country. Only, the rulers who sell the country are not visible.’ Farmers from different states gathered in large numbers for the Kisan Mahapanchayat at the Government Inter College Ground in Muzaffarnagar on Sunday to protest against the Centre’s three controversial agricultural laws. The event is considered important in view of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections to be held early next year. The ‘Kisan Mahapanchayat’ was organized by the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha.
