Bhupendra Patel took oath as CM of Gujarat

Ahmedabad,13/9: Bhupendra Patel, who became an MLA for the first time in the 2017 elections, has become the 17th CM of the state. Patel took oath as the chief minister of Gujarat on Monday, two days after Vijay Rupani abruptly stepped down a year before the assembly elections. Governor Acharya Devvrat administered the oath on Monday. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and chief ministers of some BJP-ruled states were present at the Raj Bhavan function. As per the decision of the party, only Patel took oath. BJP sources said that the council of ministers will take oath in the next few days after the names are finalised.
