Bumrah was mercilessly verbally attacked by England

New Delhi,16/9: In the recently concluded Test series between India and England (IND vs ENG Test Series), there was a fierce battle between the ball and the bat as well as the word of mouth. The players of both the teams did not leave any chance of sledging against each other. Especially in the third Test at Lord’s, the tussle between the players came to the fore. In this match, there was a heated argument between Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and James Anderson. Now what actually happened between these two, Team India all-rounder Shardul Thakur has revealed it.

Talking to The Indian Express, Shardul said that we were trying to attack Anderson. Whatever happened during the Lord’s Test was also seen at the Oval. I was told later that Anderson told Bumrah something that he should not have done. I was told that they (England team) had abused Bumrah, which cannot be said in front of everyone. Therefore, the Indian players became aggressive after this incident and responded to the players of England in their own style.

Bumrah had bounced off Anderson at Lord’s
Anderson was very upset with Bumrah’s bouncer in the Lord’s Test. When Bumrah’s turn came to bat, England’s fast bowlers also targeted him with their short-pitched balls, but Bumrah faced the English bowlers with Mohammed Shami.
