Ravindra Jadeja should bat above Dhoni for CSK, Manjrekar advised

Dubai, 19/9:Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar believes that Ravindra Jadeja should bat above captain MS Dhoni for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021). Left-handed Jadeja was in excellent form in the first leg of the 14th season of the IPL. In a match against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Wankhede Stadium, he targeted Harshal Patel and added 37 runs in the last over of CSK’s innings.

Manjrekar also said that CSK will continue their good run in the tournament. The performance of the Chennai team in the year 2020 season was very poor and the team also failed to make it to the playoffs. Manjrekar said, ‘In my view, Jadeja should go to bat above MS Dhoni. I think it will be a good move for the CSK team as their approach has changed and Moeen Ali and Sam Karen have become influential players.

 

Manjrekar said that CSK should give chances to both Josh Hazlewood and Lungi Ngidi in the playing XI. He said, ‘I think Moeen Ali, Josh Hazlewood and Lungi Ngidi should be kept in the playing XI. If even the slightest possibility arises, Imran Tahir.
