ICC Women’s ODI Rankings: Mithali Raj is no more number 1 ODI batsman, Jhulan got good news

New Delhi, 28/9:Indian captain Mithali Raj on Tuesday lost her No. 1 chair in the latest ICC Women’s ODI Rankings. Mithali Raj is no longer the number 1 ranked batsman in the world and she has slipped to number three. However, Indian fast bowler Jhulan Goswami has definitely jumped in the ICC rankings and has captured the second number. Mithali Raj suffered a poor performance in the recently concluded ODI series against Australia. Mithali scored just 87 runs in the three-match series at an average of 29 and now has 738 points.

South Africa’s Lizelle Lee has moved up from second place to the top spot with 761 points. Alyssa Healy, who scored 112 runs in three matches against India, is second with 750 points. Another Indian batsman Smriti Mandhana has gained one place to reach the sixth position. He has 710 marks.

 

One step away from Jhulan Goswami’s No.1 spot
In the series against Australia, Jhulan took four wickets, including three for 37 in the final match. India defeated Australia in the third ODI to put an end to their campaign of 26 consecutive ODI victories. India, however, lost the series 1-2. Jhulan has also gained three places to reach 10th position in the all-rounder’s list of players. He has 251 marks. Australia’s Jess Yonasen continues to top with 760 points while Jhulan has 727 points. Australia’s Megan Schutt lost one place to third with 717 points.
