Dubai, 2/10:Defending runners-up Delhi Capitals defeated Mumbai Indians by 4 wickets in the match of IPL-2021 on Saturday. Record 5-time champion Mumbai team could not do anything special in front of Delhi bowlers and could score only 129 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. After this, the wickets of Delhi also kept falling at regular intervals but former captain Shreyas Iyer (33 *) remained at one end and returned only after giving victory to the team. Delhi chased down the target in 19.1 overs for the loss of 6 wickets when Ravichandran Ashwin (20*) hit the winning six.
Former Delhi captain Shreyas hit 2 fours in his unbeaten innings of 33 balls. He also shared an unbeaten 39-run partnership for the 7th wicket with Ravichandran Ashwin. Ashwin hit only one six in his 21-ball innings. For Mumbai, Mumbai tried 6 bowlers and also took 5 wickets but could not get the victory. Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah, Jayant Yadav, Krunal Pandya and Coulter Nile got 1-1 wickets.
Delhi’s team remains at number two with 18 points, which has also qualified for the playoffs, but problems have increased for Mumbai. He is at number six with 10 points.
