Dubai, 10/4:The fifth and last match of the Test series (IND vs ENG Test Series) between India and England that ended last month in Manchester had to be canceled due to Corona. India was already 2-1 in the series. After the cancellation of this match, there was a long debate about the final result of the series. England issued a statement claiming that if the Indian team withdrew from playing the Test, the winner of this match would be the host team. England withdrew their claim on the rise.After this it was decided that the final decision would be taken by the ICC, BCCI and ECB together.
Now whatever will be the decision of the cricket board and ICC of both the countries. But Indian cricket team opener Rohit Sharma has made it clear that the winner of the 5-Test series is Team India.
Rohit said in a virtual press conference of a sports wear brand that I believe that the Indian team is the real winner of this test series. However, the final result has not come yet. It will be decided by BCCI, ICC and ECB. But in my view, we have won the series. I still don’t know what will happen to the final test? Will we play only one Test or will the series be decided on the basis of 4 Tests only? Nothing is clear on this yet. But I think Team India has won this series.
