Navjot Singh Sidhu to remain Punjab party president

Chandigarh, 14/10:Navjot Singh, who resigned from the post of party state president amid the infighting in Punjab Congress, will continue in his post. On Thursday, Harish Rawat said that it is now clear that Sidhu will continue to be the President of Punjab Congress and strengthen the organization. However, its official announcement will be made on Friday. Rawat said on the situation in Punjab that we will resolve all the issues through dialogue. Sidhu and Channi have spoken on all the issues and soon whatever problems are there will be resolved through dialogue.

Navjot Singh Sidhu, who has resigned from the post of Congress’s Punjab unit president, on Thursday met organization general secretary KC Venugopal and Punjab in-charge Harish Rawat and apprised senior leaders about the issues on which he had resigned in the past. Sources say that in the meeting that lasted for about a quarter of an hour at 24 Akbar Road (Congress Headquarters), discussions were held on the associations of the Punjab government and the organization and an attempt was made to make a consensus so that the entire party could come together in the field before the elections.
