UP, 28/10: In order to give relief to the people of the state from the rising prices of petrol and diesel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has called an important meeting at the official residence to be held at 5.30 pm on Thursday. According to the information received, discussion can be held in this meeting regarding VAT levied on petrol and diesel in the state. In the meeting, while reducing VAT, it can also be decided to give relief to the common man in the increased prices of petrol and diesel. Let us tell you that at present, petrol prices in the state are being sold at more than Rs 100, while diesel is also close to scoring a century. It is believed that being an election year, the Yogi government can give some relief to the people of the state by deciding to cut the rates of VAT.
If we talk about the prices of petrol in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, then it is Rs 105 per liter while diesel is being sold at Rs 97.48 per liter. If the government cuts the rate of VAT, then there can be some relief in the prices of diesel petrol. On the other hand, on Tuesday, Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that the government is trying to reduce the prices of petrol and diesel. He said that government talks are going on with Saudi Arabia, Gulf countries and Russia.
