New Delhi, 8/11: Two-time Olympic medalist badminton player PV Sindhu was awarded the Padma Bhushan. President Ram Nath Kovind presented the Padma Bhushan award to PV Sindhu in Delhi on Monday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah also attended the Padma award ceremony in Delhi.
PV Sindhu won the World Championship last year and she is the first Indian player to do so. In the year 2016, he won a silver medal in the Olympics held in Rio. In the year 2015, he was awarded the Padma Shri Award. Sindhu won the bronze medal in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. With this, PV Sindhu has become the first Indian woman and second player to win two Olympic medals.
