Chandigarh, 5/12:Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Punjab unit president Bhagwant Mann on Sunday claimed that a senior BJP leader had asked him to join the saffron party ahead of next year’s assembly elections. funds and offered to be included in the Union Cabinet. Addressing reporters here, the Sangrur MP said they cannot be bought with money or anything else.
Without naming anyone, Mann claimed that the senior BJP leader had contacted him four days back and told him, “Mansaheb, what will you do to join the BJP?” He alleged that he also asked Gone whether “You need money.”
‘Cabinet minister’s offer in the central government’
The AAP leader claimed that he was told that if he joins the BJP, he will be made a cabinet minister in the central government. Mann, AAP’s lone MP in Punjab, said, “I told them (BJP leaders) that I am on mission and not on commission.” He said he told the BJP leader that there would be others “that you can buy.”
‘Will reveal the name at the right time’
Mann said that they cannot be bought with money or anything else. When he was asked to reveal the name of the BJP leader, he said that he would reveal the name at the right time. The AAP leader claimed that the BJP has no support base in Punjab.
