New Delhi, 21/12: The eighth season of the Pro Kabaddi League is scheduled to take place behind closed doors from December 22 after a break of more than two years due to the Kovid-19 pandemic. Fans will get to see triple headers in the first four days, while the opening match of the season will be played between U Mumba and Bengaluru Bulls. The second match of the league will be between Telugu Titans and Tamil Thalaivas. UP Yoddha will take on the defending champion Bengal Warriors in the last match of the first day. The triple-header matches will be played 3-3 only on Saturdays during the entire duration of the league, starting at 7:30 pm, 8:30 pm and 9:30 pm respectively.
The schedule of the first half of Pro Kabaddi Season 8 has been released, while the organizers say that the schedule of the second half of the league will come in mid-January next year. Keeping in mind the health and safety of the players amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the organizers have transformed the entire venue at the Sheraton Grand Bangalore Whitefield Hotel & Convention Center into an integrated and safe bio-bubble. All 12 teams will stay and play at the same place.
