Bhubaneswar, 23/12: Steps have also been taken to transform the 5 T transformation program of government high schools in the state with the recruitment of teachers. Under the direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the process of filling 11,403 teaching posts has begun. It is reported that 6,131 teachers were recently hired in one day. In the first phase of the year, 4,619 Hindi, Sanskrit and sports teacher posts were filled on August 13 and in the second phase, 6,720 TGT art teachers and Telugu teachers were advertised on August 28.
The examination and recruitment rules have been amended to ensure that the maximum number of candidates available for teaching is not available. In addition, 3,462 teaching posts have been approved in view of the growing number of students. The Chief Minister’s directive has now started to fill 11,403 teaching posts, including vacancies and newly sanctioned posts. The recruitment process is expected to be completed by April 2022 and new teachers will be targeted in schools.
The completion of the process of hiring so many teachers in two phases in six months and the commencement of another phase of the recruitment process are proof of the government’s commitment to change in education.
