Punjab CM Channi’s brother joins BJP

Chandigarh, 12/1: Jaswinder Singh Dhaliwal, the cousin brother of Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He joined the BJP in the presence of Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in Chandigarh. The period of defection is continuing in Punjab as well. Recently many leaders of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) had joined BJP. Polling in the state is to be held on February 14.

 

 

On Tuesday itself, MLA Arvind Khanna, SAD leader Gurdeep Singh Gosha and Dharamveer Sarin had joined the BJP. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri got these leaders the membership of the party at the party office in the national capital. Earlier, SAD leaders Gurtej Singh Gundhiana, Kamal Bakshi, Madhumeet, Jagdeep Singh Dhaliwal, Rajdev Khalsi and former cricketer Dinesh Mongia have also joined the BJP.
