Dhinkia, 13/1: The land acquisition work in Dhinkia panchayat under Jagatsinghpur district’s Ersama tehsil, for the proposed JSW project, is steadily increasing. Few days before, IDCO has started construction of the boundary wall from the Mahal village border, while the demarcation of the local Patna Gobindpur border has started today. The demarcation work has been started in the presence of Ersama Tahsildar Chowdhury Pranjananda Das and IDCO Assistant Executive Officers and four forest committee officials. Today, the district administration has demarcated border of about three kilometers. President and other members of Tentulia Forest Committee, Maa Mangala Forest Committee, Maa Ramchandi Forest Committee, Baba Akhandalmani Forest Committee, Patna and Gobindpur villages, Prafulla Mohanty, president of Gobindpur village, and other dignitaries and people were also present. IDCO will soon begin work on the boundary wall of this border. Workers from the local area, including JCB tractors and other construction materials, will be involved in the work. People who are forgoing their betel vines for the project and the local workers will get jobs in this construction work. In the proposed area,the betel vines survey and demolition work and
the identification of more than a thousand trees are going on. The Dhinkia -Patna road, which had been damaged by the people of Dhinkia who opposed the proposed project, has been repaired today in the presence of local police officer.Till yesterday, more than Rs 5 crore had been disbursed to 198 beneficiaries towards the demolition of betel vines.
