Paradip, 25/1: Land acquisition for the proposed JSW project in Dhinkia Nuagaon and Gadkujang Panchayat under Ersama tehsil near Paradip has been increasing. In Dhinkia panchayat, the betel survey and demolition work is in full swing, while the process of tree identification in Gobindpur village is also in progress. To date, more than 8,000 trees have been identified in the village. Till yesterday, 644 betel vines of 595 beneficiaries had been surveyed. Of these, 568 were broken and a total of Rs 10.29 crore was paid to 422 beneficiaries as compensation. The acquired land amounts to 48.45 acre. Five teams from the Ersama tehsil administration are speeding up the work. Over the past few days, there has been growing consensus and support for the proposed JSW Project.
