Arunachal Pradesh Avalanche: 7 Army soldiers trapped in snow storm martyred, bodies recovered in rescue operation

Arunachal Pradesh, 8/2: Due to heavy snowfall on the mountains, the difficulties of the soldiers deployed in the security of the border are increasing. Not only this, unpleasant incidents of soldiers patrolling in heavy snowfall are also coming to the fore. Seven soldiers of the Indian Army came under the grip of an avalanche on Sunday in Arunachal Pradesh of the North East state. There was news of all those soldiers being buried in the avalanche. But today in a rescue operation on Monday, their bodies have been recovered.

 

An official statement has also been issued by the Indian Army in this regard. Confirming the recovery of all these bodies, it has been said that the high-altitude Kameng sector, located at an altitude of 14,500 feet, was witnessing bad weather with heavy snowfall for the last few days.

 

 

 

In this bad weather, the patrol party was affected due to avalanche and snowfall in the high altitude Kameng sector. Seven soldiers of the army were buried in this. An operation was carried out to rescue them. But unfortunately they have not been saved despite the best efforts of all those involved.

 

According to army officials, the bodies of all the martyred soldiers are being shifted to Military Medical Facility located some distance near the avalanche site to complete further formalities.
